Together Outdoors

Join us for a walk!

Being part of a walking group can be a great way to enjoy nature, meet new people, and get active. Together Outdoors is a friendly, social walking group made up of people from Penrith, the Eden Valley and north Lakes. In this part of Cumbria we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to walking and hiking locations.

The Lake District is right on our doorstep, the Pennines are also easily accessible, and the beautiful Eden Valley extends to the north and south of Penrith. We usually meet for a group walk a couple of times a month, sometimes weekends and sometimes midweek. See below for what’s coming up — we would love for you to join us!

Useful links

what3words — great for meeting point locations as it’s more specific than postcodes, particularly in rural areas.

Mountain Weather Information Service — well worth checking the day before a walk, particularly on the high fells where the weather can be very different to the valleys and towns.

Harvey Maps and Ordnance Survey — because everyone else might forget theirs!
